I have been doing needlework since childhood, sewing clothing since the mid-1960s and quilting since 1978. In 1989 I started a business, Quilting Plus in Rochester, MN, wherein I machine quilted for clients. Amish women started hand quilting for me in 1994 and I phased out machine quilting. Now we serve a national clientele exclusively for hand quilting. Quilters from beginners to professionals employ Quilting Plus resulting in quilts that have been published in books and magazines, exhibited in quilt shows and treasured in private collections. My family jokes that I was able to turn a hobby into a livelihood.
