This quilt is my interpretation of a riddle by Jonathan Swift:
We are little airy creatures,
All of diffârent voice and features,
One of us is Glass is set,
One of us youâll find in Jet,
Tâother you may see in Tin,
And the fourth a Box within,
If the fifth you should pursue,
It can never fly from you.
Created using an assemblage technique of tin alphabet letters and foil applied to the over-dyed checkerboard fabric. Couched with funky, furry yarns and metallic threads, with a whimsical twisted yarn border at the bottom.
