When my brothers, sisters and I were young, we used to corral any relative or family friend who had the Īmisfortuneā to visit and tell them every joke or riddle we could think of. The visitor was forced sit and laugh at our jokes. That could take a long time - there were five of us then!
So, when this challenge came along, I thought, "Piece of cake!" Wrong! I couldnāt remember a single riddle or joke. I called my sisters as brothers are no help! But, as it turned out, neither were my sisters. I was desperate. I looked on line, in books, nothing. I gave up - no challenge this year. I happened to be watching "All My Children" one day and Greenlee was trying to make Ryan laugh. She told three riddles and this was one of them. I pictured this quilt right away - challenge solved! |
