The family I was born into wasnāt very funny. My mother is the type who laughs or smiles at a joke but can never remember them well enough to repeat them My father rarely found anything funny.
The man I marries is rarely serious and his entire family laughs and tells jokes. My husband found a job where, among other skills, telling jokes is a major part of its success, and so, of course, he fit right in. Cow jokes are a big part of his repertoire, because, letās face it, cows are funny. I chose one of my favorites to share here. Of course, all our kids think that Dad is the funny one in the family, but after living for years with him, Iām discovering that I, too, can be funny. Having a house filled with my familyās laughter is a very sweet sound to my ears. |
