Why Did the Thief Take a Bath?

The central portion of the quilt is painted with acrylics on flannel (what possessed me?!) and bordered with cotton. I actually like the way it turned out. The other funny thing is that I painted it on top of my cutting board, and when I was done, I lifted it up to find that my cutting board now has permanent spots!

Well, this is a humorous challenge, and it is good to be humorous about life sometimes too.

As I started painting the thief taking his bath, I found myself encouraged to add more and more silly things in the painting until I was almost falling on the floor laughing. I wish all my quiltmaking was this much fun!
